Using Herbs in the Kitchen
(formerly Herb Gardening )

Do you love using herbs?. . .I do too! Growing and using a wide variety of herbs will add much to the quality of your life.

Learn to use herbs in the kitchen for peach mango salsa with fresh cilantro sprinkled on top and herbal teas made with pineapple sage, mints, or chamomile herbs. Explore the use of medicinal herbs. Some go easily into salads, others are made into salves, and a few, such as echinacea, are made into alcohol based tinctures.

Each participant will be able to choose three herb starter plants and seed packets. Examples will be shared for tasty gourmet dishes including herbs as a condiment.

Instructor: Diane Mendelsohn; see Organic Gardening.
