Giving to the Library

The mission of the Franklin D. Schurz Library is to prepare and to support the members of the Indiana University South Bend community in successfully meeting their teaching, learning, and research goals, to foster intellectual discovery, and to encourage lifelong learning.

The faculty and staff of the Franklin D. Schurz Library takes pride in the resources and services we offer to meet our mission, but we can only maintain this high quality through the additional support from individuals and organizations. You can help ensure the continued success of the Library by donating in one of the following ways:

Financial Gifts

You may make monetary donations to one of the following funds by clicking on the GIVE NOW button below. You will be given an opportunity to make your gift with your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card. Or you can send a check payable to the IU Foundation to Franklin D. Schurz Library, Indiana University South Bend, P.O. Box 7111, South Bend, IN 46634. Remember, all gifts qualify as a tax deductible contribution.

  1. Friends of the Library
    Supports the Library’s goals through providing funding for initiatives and activities of the Schurz Library, including such projects as the Student Worker Scholarship, the Library Prize for Undergraduate Research, and the Library Speaker Series.   2. Schurz Library Endowment

  3. Hammes Information Commons Fund
    Funds in this account will help pay for the furnishings in the Hammes Information Commons. This new space, located on the first floor, is a collaborative effort of the Library, Instructional Media Services, and Information Technologies.
