The IU South Bend Franklin
D. Schurz Library and the campus American
Democracy Project are working together to bring One Book,
One Campus to Indiana University South Bend during the 2006-2007
school year. This is the third year of the program. The book
for 2006-2007 was The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down
by Anne Fadiman. For more information about last year's events

One Campus web site.
One Book, One Campus encourages students, faculty, and staff
to read the same book and participate in discussions and campus
events related to the work.
This is an event that the Library will be doing every year,
tying the work into the year's campus theme. The Library hopes
to continue working with the American
Democracy Project and with the General Education Committee
on future One Book, One Campus selections and activities.
The One Book, One Campus committee is Eileen Bender, Elizabeth
Bennion, Jim Blodgett, Joe Chaney, Louise Collins, Kate Egerton,
Julie Elliott, Linda Fisher, Seianna Giden, Alfred Guillaume,
