What do I need on my computer to run LiveText?
Livetext is a web-based educational tool that provides educators with access to resources for lesson plan development, portfolio development, reflection, etc. In order to use LiveText you will need a connection to the Internet. No hard drive space or memory specifications are required. As long as you are connected to the Internet, you can access your personal LiveText space. This means you can work from school, the library, home, or even at an Internet Cafe. All you need is an Internet connection, your username, and your password.

What steps should I take if I can't access the IUSB templates?
When I try to make a lesson plan (or reflection, portfolio, etc.) I do not have the option of using the IUSB templates. What happened?  More than likely you did not affiliate your registration with IUSB. Contact LiveText directly (support@livetext.com or 1-866-548-3839) to have them associate your account with our campus templates.

What do I do if I lose my work?
I was working at home and my dial-up connection quit. As a result, I lost the work that I was doing. How can I avoid this in the future?

While there is no way to guarantee that accidents won't happen...there are some steps you can take to minimize the damage. If you are composing a reflection or reaction paper, it is recommended that you do so in MS Word (or the word processor of your choice).  Save the document as a TEXT FILE ( .txt )---do this by choosing the format in the File / Save As window.  After saving the file as .txt , then copy/paste it into LiveText.

Additionally, if you are composing a lesson plan, be sure to click "FINISH" after each section that you complete. By doing so, you are saving each section as you go.
