Access Your Student Information Online
OneStart is a Web-based portal that provides a common front door to many online services at Indiana University. OneStart offers easier and more direct access to the multitude of services available for students, faculty, and staff.

The university's current Web-based student information service, OneStart, can be used to:

Reserves Called to Active Duty
IU South Bend realizes that students who are members of the Indiana military reserves may be called to active duty. The Reserves Called to Active Duty Policy minimizes disruptions or inconveniences for students fulfilling their military responsibilities.

Residency Status
Because IU is a state-funded public university, in-state and out-of-state students pay different rates for tuition. View our residency status page for complete details.

Transfer of Credit
Students who are transferring to IU South Bend generally receive transfer credit for any course from an accredited institution that corresponds to one in our curriculum (in content and credit value). Courses submitted for transfer credit are evaluated by the Office of Admissions. Please contact the Office of Admissions with specific questions.

Confidentiality of Student Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records. More information can be found in the Indiana University Academic Guide, and in the Academic Handbook.

Veteran Educational Benefit Programs
Most veteran educational benefit programs (including the Montgomery GI Bill and the Veterans Educational Assistance Program) are not technically financial aid programs. They are instead benefits veterans earn by serving their country. For more information regarding educational benefits for veterans, please visit the IU South Bend Office of Veteran Student Services.

Voter Registration
In compliance with certain provisions of the United States Code, 20 U.S.C. 1094(a)(23), the National Mail Voter Registration Form is available online through the Federal Election Commission. The paper version is available from the IU South Bend Office of the Registrar.
