The Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs provides the necessary education for a career
in public or private sector management, and a strong foundation for advanced education in
law, planning, public affairs or business administration.

- Internships in Criminal Justice/Public Affairs (J380/V380) count for 1-6 elective hours.
- The curriculum is subject to change. Students are responsible for fulfilling curriculum
requirements in the SPEA Bulletin issued during the academic year of matriculation to the
University.

Graduation: |

Students must apply for graduation 2 semesters prior to
the anticipated date. For example, students wanting to graduate in May
should apply by September 1 of the previous year. For December,
students should apply by February 1 of that year. Forms are available from the
Student Services Coordinator in SPEA. A minimum of 120 credit hours is required to
be considered for graduation. A minimum cumulative overall GPA of 2.00 with a minimum
cumulative 2.3
GPA in core and concentration is required. |

| Honorary: |
| Students who meet the necessary criteria and have a GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible to
join Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs
and Administration. |
