Portfolio Development
Teaching portfolios are becoming increasingly important as we learn how to document teaching activities. UCET sponsors several groups and events that will help you develop an informative document. We also have several books related to portfolio development in our library.
Tenure Dossier Group
Each Spring we begin a group for faculty who will turn in their tenure dossier the next summer. We discuss all sections of the dossier, not just teaching. The group meets a few times to discuss dossier requirements, work on statements for each section, etc. The group co-leaders for the 2008-2009 year are Gwynn Mettetal, Anne Brown, and Rosanne Cordell..
FACET Application Workshop
We will present a workshop on preparing your FACET dossier several weeks before the applications are due. Members of the IU South Bend FACET selection committee will be present to discuss the characteristics of a successful application.
Teaching Awards Dossier Consultation
We would be happy to work with anyone submitting a teaching dossier for the IU South Bend Excellence in Teaching Award on a case-by-case basis.
