Administrative and Fiscal Affairs handles the business of IU South Bend and is overseen by Vice Chancellor Bill O'Donnell. The Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Fiscal Affairs is the chief financial and business officer and reports directly to the Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor establishes policies and procedures affecting long range institutional plans and projects and overseas a group of support operations that include:

The Office of the Vice Chancellor exercises executive and administrative direction over:
Financial and selected administrative operational programs
Development and monitoring of budgets
Coordination of and planning for capital construction, repairs, and renovations
Management of land acquisitions
Operation and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and other aspects of the campus infrastructure
Oversight of student housing and residential life programs.
The Office of Administrative and Fiscal Affairs is temporarily located on the second floor of The Associates Building on Ruskin Ave. (the red brick building directly behind the Administration Building.)
