How to Become a Student at IU South Bend

  1. Complete the admission application (you can apply online right now).
  2. Send your nonrefundable $45 application fee, payable to IU South Bend.
  3. Ask any colleges you have attended to send us your transcripts.
  4. Apply for financial aid.
  5. Take the required placement exams in reading and mathematics. (Review the Office of Student Services Web site for information on exceptions and waivers).
  6. Make your appointment for academic advising and registration.
  7. Pay your bill.
