IU SOUTH BEND NEW STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS


TITAN SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose:The Titan Scholarship is awarded to incoming undergraduate students who demonstrate the academic skills to succeed at IU South Bend. This scholarship has a maximum award value of $600 ($300 each semester).

Criteria

Beginning Freshmen Criteria
  • Be admitted to IU South Bend as an incoming freshman for the fall 2008 semester
  • Graduate from high school with a CORE 40, Academic Honors, or other equivalent out-of-state diploma with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale OR receive a final grade of ‘A’ or ‘B’ in your Advance College Project or dual enrollment course through IU South Bend
  • Score 1000 (combined Verbal/Critical Reading and Math scores) or higher on the SAT (21 or higher on the ACT)
  • Enroll full time (12 credit hours per semester)


Transfer Criteria
  • Be admitted to IU South Bend as a new undergraduate student for the fall 2008 semester
  • Complete 26 or more transferable credit hours from a regionally accredited university with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale1
  • Enroll full time (12 credit hours per semester)
1If you have completed less than 26 hours, you must have a transfer GPA of at least 3.0 and meet the beginning freshmen criteria. If you attended more than one university, your combined GPA will be used to determine scholarship eligibility. The Titan Scholarship is automatically renewed for the spring 2009 semester upon verification of full time spring enrollment.

Award Value
$600 maximum award ($300 per semester).


2008 Titan Scholarship


IU SOUTH BEND GRANT FOR UNDERREPRESENTED STUDENTS

Purpose:The IU South Bend Book Grant is awarded to under represented students defined as African American or Hispanic who will be incoming freshmen for the fall 2008 semester.

Criteria Underrepresented students defined as African American, Hispanic, or American Indian.
Applicants must:
  • Be admitted to IU South Bend
  • Graduate from a U.S. high school with a CORE 40 (or equivalent college preparatory) diploma with a minimum grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Enroll full-time (12 credit hours per semester)
The IU South Bend Book Grant For Underrepresented Students is automatically renewed for the spring 2009 semester upon verification of full-time enrollment.

Award Value
$600 maximum award ($300 per semester).
