Profile Prior to joining the faculty at Indiana University South Bend, Dr. Aghimien taught accounting courses at Grambling State University . He is a member of the American Accounting Association; the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the Institute of Chartered Accounts; and has been inducted into Beta Alpha Psi (The National Accounting Honor Fraternity); Beta Gamma Sigma (Honor Society for Business); and Omicron Delta Epsilon (Honor Society in Economics). For excellence in teaching and service, he received the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award conferred by the Indiana CPA Society. Additionally, Dr. Aghimien has been recognized with the Indiana University 's Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching award; Indiana University system-wide Teaching Excellence Recognition Award; and Outstanding Educator Award by Grambling State University . He is a multiple recipient of the School of Business & Economic awards that recognizes excellence in teaching, research, and service. He is also a recipient of the Fulbright Scholar award. Dr. Aghimien has held Visiting Professorships at Tennessee State University ; and Ahmadu Bello University , Nigeria . His teaching and research interests include international accounting, auditing, managerial, and financial accounting. Besides teaching and research activities, he also performs accounting services as a licensed certified public accountant .
