Profile Prior to joining the faculty of Indiana University South Bend as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Costea taught Principles of Economics, Statistical Methods and Applied Microeconomics at Lehigh University. She is a member of the American Economic Association, American Public Health Association and Eastern Economic Association. Her main field of research is health economics, with a focus on Medicaid drug pricing, the effects of advertising on physicians' prescribing behavior and also on drugs performance as measured by their market share within a therapeutic class.
