Step 1 GMAT— Make arrangements to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and have your official score report sent to our office. Our institution code is 1339. If you have already taken the GMAT, we will accept the official score report if it is no more than three [3] years old. Locally (Michiana Region), the Sylvan Learning Center (254-1055) at 3005 N. Grape Road (between Edison and McKinley) in Mishawaka administers the GMAT. They offer the test every weekday (including some Saturdays) the last three weeks of every month. Sylvan does get backed up so call way in advance to set up your test date. The cost of the GMAT is $250. Consult the enclosed GMAT Bulletin for other locations or phone 1-800-462-8669. Visit the MBA ExplorerTM at www.mba.com for quick answers to most questions and the latest GMAT information. Telephone lines are open 24 hours (1-609-771-7330) to provide general, but more limited, GMAT information.

Step 2 Transcripts — Request official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions you attended. Have the transcripts sent directly of the Graduate Business Office. We cannot accept unofficial copies issued to the applicant. You may use the transcript request forms provided with the application.

Step 3 Application — Complete and submit the application. Be sure to include answers to all personal statements. Please remember to sign and date your application. MS-MIT applicants must also fill out the Supplemental Information Form. To request an application please click here.

Step 4 Recommendations — Submit two (2) letters of recommendation (forms and envelopes enclosed) from individuals who are able to evaluate your academic or on-the-job performance and attest to your ability to pursue a graduate degree.

Step 5 Application Fee — Send your $45 ($55 for international applicants) application fee along with your application. Make your check or money order payable to Indiana University South Bend.

Admission Requirements — We maintain our admission standards into graduate business programs by selecting only those candidates who can successfully complete a rigorous and competitive academic program. The program is accessible only to those students of demonstrated aptitude, ability, and scholarship. We require every applicant to complete the standardized Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). We base our admission decision on a composite evaluation of the applicant’s [1] GMAT scores, [2] undergraduate academic performance as measured by the cumulative grade-point average (GPA), [3] professional work experiences [4] two letters of recommendation, [5] personal essays, and [6] application information.

Course Scheduling and Fees — All of our graduate business courses are offered on Monday through Thursday evenings. During the fall and spring semesters, classes are scheduled to meet one evening per week (usually 7:00 p.m. to 9:40 p.m.) for 16 weeks. During the two six-week summer sessions, classes meet two evenings per week (either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.).
