LOCATION
The city of South Bend enjoys a strategic location only 90 miles east of Chicago, at the southern tip of beautiful Lake Michigan. The city is well connected by interstate highway, air, rail, and bus lines. South Bend is a safe residential community. With a population of 255,000, the South Bend area has the amenities of a metropolitan center with the personal warmth of a smaller community. South Bend is rich in cultural and recreational resources and provides the area with the benefits of five universities and colleges, many fine libraries, entertainment and many fun recreational opportunities. We are the third largest of the eight Indiana University system campuses. Our current total enrollment at the South Bend campus is approximately 7,400 students of which 233 are international students.

We have more than a quarter century of experience granting graduate business degrees. We are proud to be among the approximately 24 percent of colleges and universities offering degrees in business accredited by AACSB Interntional - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. More than 97 percent of our business faculty hold doctorates. Our FACULTY at the university has earned the highest percentage of all-university distinguished teaching awards on the eight campuses in the Indiana University system. Though we are a public, state-supported institution, we have an excellent student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. At Indiana University, we emphasize quality education. IU South Bend is a comprehensive university, located in north central Indiana, on the banks of the historic St. Joseph River in South Bend, Indiana. We are the third largest Indiana University campus. The campus enrolls more than 7,700 students and is staffed by 230 full-time faculty members. IU South Bend offers a choice of over 100 different associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs as well as minors and professional certificates that will meet almost any educational goal.
HOUSING
Housing for our international students closely simulate the "real world," where students learn independence and interpersonal skills. Convenient and inexpensive housing facilities are available in University-owned and administered houses on the edge of campus. The units are located in a safe residential neighborhood and are within walking distance to shopping areas and banks. The dedicated staff members at our Office of International Student Services are committed to providing excellent support to our graduate business students.
SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Indiana University South Bend offers a series of social and cultural events, including major theatrical and music productions as well as a variety of lectures. We encourage international students to participate in various extracurricular activities. Theater auditions are open to non-theater majors; non-music majors are eligible to enroll in many music courses and are welcomed into the performing ensembles.
FACILITIES
Our facilities include modern classrooms, personal computer laboratories, science laboratories, auditoriums, and studios for fine and performing arts. The Indiana University library system is one of the largest in the United States with approximately 5.7 million books, bound journals and other materials, and IU South Bend's rapidly expanding collection has over a million volumes. The library also has an extensive collection of online research databases accessible in the many computer labs or from home with the use of a modem.
