Transitioning to ISO 9001: 2008

This half-day workshop focuses on understanding and gaining the benefits of the new ISO standards.

The new standard ISO 9001:2008 was issued at the end of 2008. While no new requirements are introduced, changes and clarifications to implementation notes have been made. These are aimed at making implementation more effective—making it easier for companies to achieve better results. The revisions also increase consistency with ISO 14001:2004, the environmental/energy standard.

Effective Internal Auditing for ISO TS16949: 2008

Learn how to conduct internal audits to improve the effectiveness of your quality system and promote continuous actions. Also, learn how to conduct process audits required for ISO and TS16949.

Topics include the role of internal auditing in driving continuous improvement, principles of effective auditing, preparing for and conducting audits, audit and process trails, and evaluating non-conformities. Hands-on exercises will illustrate key points of preparing for and conducting the audit, evaluating and communicating the findings, and the follow-up corrective action process.

Who Should Attend: Those responsible for planning, scheduling and/or performing an internal audit program, quality assurance managers, quality assurance professionals, ISO project managers, and ISO project team members.

Lean Manufacturing

This series provides a practical introduction to the key principles and tools for implementing Lean Manufacturing.

Lean Manufacturing is rapidly being adopted by American manufacturers and service industries. Based on the Toyota production system, Lean Manufacturing, helps to shorten cycle times, improve quality, reduce inventories and labor costs, and improve profits. In most cases, these gains can be realized without major capital investments.

Who Should Attend:
Plant Managers, Manufacturing Managers and Supervisors, Production Control, Logisitics, Quality and Maintenance personell who have an on-going responsibility for manufacturing performance and improvements.
