Having trouble finding your familiar commands in the new Excel 2007? We can help in this hands-on class. Understand the new Ribbon Bar and command buttons. Put back the toolbar buttons you love. See the changes in Excel features such as formula writing, pivot tables, lists and charts.

Gain fast access to numeric data and periodic reports through this hands-on workshop. Learn the concepts and commands needed for Excel spreadsheets

 

TOPICS:
Open, create, format, save, print and close worksheets
• Create formulas and use Excel’s built-in worksheet functions
• Use the toolbar, dialog boxes and shortcut menus
• Move and copy cell data and formulas
• Use AutoFill to create or copy cell data
• Create basic charts

Prerequisite: Computers 101 or prior experience.

Organizing and Analyzing Data Using Excel

Use Excel features to allow you more efficient data organization and analysis.

 

TOPICS:

  Place data into a database that you can sort and select

•  Use Lookup and Reference functions (look up values in lists)
•  Implement scenarios to design a model and find target values with Solver
•  Create Pivot Tables and charts to consolidate and rearrange data for analysis
•  Add Summary, Subtotal, SumIF and CountIF functions
•  Incorporate outlines and conditional formatting

• Work with objects, controls, properties, methods, events, functions and procedures

• Create a user interface with input and message boxes

• Use If statements to execute or discontinue calculations

• Run calculations on a range of cells using VBA looping statements
