Course Objectives
• Know the basics of
purchasing and the purchasing
environment in the private sector.
• Gain a better
understanding of the various approaches,
tools and strategies used in negotiation.

marketing management and

• Increase awareness of the

cost analysis from a purchasing and production
perspective.

Prerequisites: There
are no specific prerequisites for this course. However, basic computer
skills, the ability to navigate the Internet, and an e-mail account are all
required.
Who Should Enroll:
This program is intended for anyone currently working in, or planning on
working in, procurement management, supply management, a purchasing
department, or any other area involved with procurement and/or supply.

Greg Kitzmiller is senior lecturer of marketing at the IU Kelley School
of Business. Mr. Kitzmiller spent 18 years in marketing and management
positions at Bayer Corporation and spent two years in Europe as an
international marketing manager. He is a featured speaker at numerous
conferences and writes several articles for magazines on global issues
