Picture This: Working With Digital Cameras and Scanners Learn the basic concepts and techniques of using digital cameras and scanners in this hands-on class designed for beginners. Class Focus: • Scan graphics and photos • Understand resolution • Edit, crop and add effects to your photos with Microsoft Photo Editor • Acquire images from a digital camera • Insert images into other documents and attach them to e-mail messages • Save and open photos others send to you Note: Digital cameras are provided for use in class. Bring photos or other items to scan to the first class. Prerequisite: Computers 101 or prior experience.

Notes: Students will receive a photo assignment
each evening to complete and bring to the next class. Results will
be reviewed in class. Students must provide their own digital camera and
be comfortable with its operation.

Working With Your Digital Photos using Photoshop Elements Correct and enhance your photos using Photoshop Elements, an easy-to-use, yet powerful tool designed specifically for amateur photographers, hobbyists and home users. Photoshop Elements gives you endless ways to explore your creativity. Class Focus: • Adjust color, lighting and alignment • Fix "red-eye" problems • Combine photographs • Apply artistic effects • Prepare photos for sending via e-mail or posting on the Web • Restore old photos Prerequisite: Picture This: Working With Digital Cameras and Scanners or prior experience.
