Knowing the anatomy and physiology of the body is essential to working in
the medical field. Medical transcriptionists, coders, billers, and general
medical office staff all agree that knowing anatomy and physiology is vital
to their jobs.
This course is the first stepping-stone to knowing and understanding the
human body. This introduction to anatomy and physiology will take you
through the body systems and how they work, through a variety of different
methods of teaching and learning, utilizing a variety of different texts,
games and visual aids to maximize your learning.
Notes:
This class is designed for those who have no formal
anatomy training. It is appropriate for those intending to become a
medical coding specialist and for those who work in medical offices and
want to expand their knowledge. It is also helpful for those intending
to enroll in the Pharmacy Technician class.
Attendance, class participation and test scores determine successful course
completion.

IU South Bend Extended Learning Services Medical Terminology class or pass a

This class is a prerequisite for the Medical Coding
Specialist Class.
