Cooking With Class offers cooking classes for all ages and skill levels. We pride ourselves on teaching people "how to cook" not "how to assemble food." Classes can be demonstration or hands-on and topics range from techniques to different ethnic cuisines.

Cooking With Class opened in October 2005 and is located in the City Plaza strip center on the corner of Fir Road and University Drive in Mishawaka. The store has a wonderful kitchenware boutique offering All-Clad, LeCreuset, and Berndes cookware, Wusthof, Kyocera, and other brands of cutlery, bakeware, gourmet foods, spices, and many gift items.

Tip:

Any fruit pie can be converted to feed a crowd by making it a "sheet or slab pie.

Generally speaking, simply multiply your double crust pastry recipe by 2.5 and filling recipe by 2.

Roll out the pastry into two 20X14 rectangles and line a 15X10 jelly roll pan with one sheet of the pastry, fill and then top with remaining sheet of dough. Reduce oven temperature by 20 degrees and increase the bake time by 12-15 minutes.

Voila! Pie to feed the masses.
