Online Video Making Class

Ages 11 and older

    Learn how to design and modify your own exciting arcade style video games. You'll learn how to control characters, objects and outcomes in your game, then increase the difficulty level and add more features. Graphics design and graphics animation topics will also be covered. Learn how to design your own version of PacMan and several others. This course is instructor facilitated. You should have a fast internet connection, DSL or cable modem.  (See system requirements below.)

After you enroll in class, you will receive a PIN number from Extended Learning Services and a website where you will use the PIN number to sign up for your online class. You have 7 weeks to complete the course after you register with your PIN number.


System Requirements:

  • High Speed Internet (128K minimum connection speed)

  • Intel Pentium II 450MHZ or faster processor (or equivalent) - Does not work on a MacIntosh

  • Windows operating system - Not MacIntosh operating system

  • Direct X8 or higher compatible graphics card with at least 16MB of video memory (preferably 32 MB or more.) Also DirectX 8 or higher compatible sound card is required. DirectX version 8.0 software or later is required. (Not included; you can download it at the Microsoft DirectX page.)

  • 128 MB of RAM

  • Flash Player 7 or above. This can be downloaded free from a website that will be provided after you enroll.
