When someone mentions Burgundy, do you think of (a) a color palette or (b) a region in France that produces some of the world’s best wines?

 

Until 1970, Bordeaux produced more white wine than red. Today red wine represents about 84% of the total crop.

Bordeaux Blends
Bordeaux wines are blends of five grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. In this seminar you will taste each varietal and then use those wines to create your own unique Bordeaux blends to sample in class.
