Mission
| The mission of the center
for economic education at Indiana University South Bend is to
increase economic literacy in north-central Indiana. The Center
aims to help prepare young students to become informed and
productive citizens by increasing their knowledge of economics.
the center organizes and supports activities designed to
creatively integrate economics into the K-12 educational
experience to help local schools and students successfully meet
Indiana academic standards for economics. The center regularly
offers instructional workshops, as well as an intensive graduate
college-credit summer course, for k-12 teachers taught by
innovative, experienced teachers. The center also provides
services and expertise related to grants, curriculum
development, and classroom resources for k-12 economics
education. |
