Michelle Bakerson currently serves as a Partner with Momentum Consulting & Evaluation, L.L.C. (momentumevaluations.com) and is an Acting Assistant Professor of Research at Indiana University South Bend. Prior to this she was an Assistant Professor at Holy Cross College, Associate Chair of Education and their Licensing Director. She is regularly invited to teach class sessions on non-experimental quantitative research designs at Western Michigan University and is finishing her dissertation, the last requirement of her Ph.D. in Evaluation, Measurement and Research Design. She will graduate with a four point. She has earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in Organizational Analysis from Western Michigan University, graduating with a four point. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University which she earned with honors. Also, as part of her educational background, she has received K-8 teacher certification with Science and English teachable in self contained classrooms.

She is fluent in German and has a diverse cultural background having lived in Berlin for ten years. She has completed various evaluations for different school districts along with various evaluations in different fields. She has been trained to complete metaevaluations and has served on an advisory panel evaluating evaluations and completing metaevaluations.

Michelle was selected and presented at the American Evaluation Association in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and has been selected to present in 2009 as well. She was selected to present at the 13th International Conference on Learning in Jamaica and the 16th International Confernce on Learning in Barcelona, Spain. Subsequently, she authored corresponding articles which are published in The International Journal of Learning, Vol. 13 and Vol. 16. She has reviewed books for Sage Publication and Allyn and Bacon along with reviewing papers for the American Evaluation Association and The International Journal of Learning. She is currently working on additional publications in curriculum development, fund development, evaluation, metaevaluation, capacity building and measuring community impact.

She is a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the Michigan Evaluation Association (MEA), the Indiana Evaluation Association (IEA), the European Evaluation Society (EES) and the Nonprofit Alliance (NPA). Her interests lay strongly in the area of evaluation, international evaluation, survey design, instrument design, organizational behavior, as well as fund development and capacity building. She is currently focused on developing ways to measure community impact as well as working with assessments to measure educational impact. Michelle’s ambition is to use her evaluation knowledge to help people achieve and meet their aspirations.
