Sara Sage has served as a faculty member in Secondary and Foundations of Education at IUSB since 1997. Her previous positions include professional development and research coordinator for the Center for Problem-Based Learning (PBL) at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and special educator at high school, middle school and elementary levels in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development at Ohio State University in 1995. Co-author of Problems as Possibilities: Problem-Based Learning for K-16 Education (ASCD), Sage has research and teaching interests in PBL, psychological type and learning styles, effective instruction, professional development for educators, adult development, and qualitative research.
