Transition to Teaching
The
Transition to Teaching program is designed
for students who have already earned
baccalaureate degree and who are interested
in becoming teachers. The Transition to
Teaching ( T to T) program is a year-long,
field-based, cohort program intended to
develop and support reflective teaching,
promote thoughtful and innovative practices
in schools, and make optimal use of the
professional resources that currently exist
in schools, the community, and the
university. In most cases, students will
qualify for elementary or secondary teaching
licensure in two academic semesters and a
summer session with accompanying field
experience and student teaching. The program
may take longer for those who have
additional content courses to complete.
