What is the Honors Program?

The IU South Bend Honors Program offers highly motivated students an opportunity for an enriched college experience. From their first semester, Honors students will be immersed in a supportive environment that will introduce students to exhilarating academic discussion and challenging coursework. With small Honors classes that are capped at 15 students (and often contain fewer), students will experience a high degree of personal attention in discussion-based classes that will mentally stimulate academically curious students. To round out the Honors experience, Honors students will design a senior project that will be completed under the mentorship of a small group of experienced faculty members. In addition, Honors students can receive financial support throughout their tenure as undergraduates at IU South Bend in the form of Honors scholarships, further increasing the value of the program. The result is a much-enriched college experience that will prepare students to become the leaders of tomorrow.

What are the benefits of joining the program?
