People got a taste of cuisines from around the world on Saturday without even leaving South Bend. IUSB had their 10th annual International Food Festival on campus. Students from 15 countries around the world showcased their unique recipes from home, and the cooks say it's a great opportunity to share their culture.
"It also gives me a reason to go back home -- for at least this afternoon -- while I eat this. I have that sense of, 'Man, I miss this food.' It's been awhile," said Dave Andedo, a Kenyan native.
"In terms of diversity and everything like that, it helps from a cooking perspective too because we learn a lot of new things from the international community about some of those recipes that we don't usually see around here," explained IUSB representative Steve Rose.
The event raised money for the International Student Organization at IUSB.
