CPR/First Aid Training
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid classes presented by the campus police department are taught by certified instructors. These courses are available to all faculty, staff, and students. The scheduled training sessions will include modules that will allow individuals to certify with the American Red Cross in one or several areas. There is a small fee for the training in order to cover administrative costs.
Please find below a list of the available certifications for courses that will be offered for the remainder of this academic year.
American Red Cross Certifications
- Community First Aid and Safety (9 hours)
Includes Adult, Child, Infant CPR and First Aid - Community CPR (6.5 hours)
Includes Adult, Child, Infant CPR - Standard First Aid (6.5 hours)
Includes Adult CPR and First Aid - Adult CPR (4 hours)
- Child and Infant CPR (4 hours)
- First Aid (4 hours)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Automatic External Defibrilator (AED) (8-9 hours)
CPR training for the professional rescuer is the equivalent of class C training for the American Heart Association.
You may certify in more than one area on different training dates, however, each module must be completed at the time of the initial training. The additional module or modules required for additional certifications may be taken on a different training date.
