| The IU South Bend Libraries have nearly one million
items (monographs, serials, microforms, audio-visual materials,
special collections, and federal government publications) which
are accessible through IUCAT,
the online catalog for all Indiana University libraries, statewide.
Most of our materials are housed in the Schurz Library, with the
exception of K-12 curriculum materials which are shelved in the
Educational Resource Commons.
Additionally, the Schurz Library subscribes to a large number of
electronic databases which can be accessed both within the Library and remotely.
The collections of the Schurz Library and Learning Resource Center are available
to IU South Bend students, faculty, and staff, as well as to citizens of Indiana
and the Michiana area.
Our collections are further enhanced by being part of the
statewide Indiana University Libraries
and users may request more material held in these other libraries. Reference
librarians are available to assist you in accessing our resources.
The links below will provide you more information
about our collections. You may also contact Susan
Thomas , Head of Collection Development, for further information.
