Living in South Bend
South Bend is the largest city in the area known as Michiana (southern Michigan + Northwest Indiana). The city has many things to offer in the areas of food, entertainment, parks and recreation. We have several supermarkets, specialty stores-Asian, African, etc. - and a farmer's market in South Bend. Big stores where food may be purchased include: Martin's, Meijer's, Wal-Mart, Target and Kroger's depending on where you live.
Housing
There are many housing options available to students including on campus and off campus apartments and houses.
Shopping
There is a mall in South Bend plus other shopping plazas and stores where students can find the clothing and other items they need for their stay and study at IU South Bend.
