There are two housing options available to international
students studying at IU South Bend
:
- Accommodations in
River Crossing - the university-owned
apartment complex.
- Off-campus housing in a local
apartment complex or rented house
University Housing
IU South Bend does not have a residence hall system. Single international students can live in our
university-owned apartments.
The apartment units are new for fall 2008. They are
located across the river and are a short walk across our pedestrian
bridge from campus and also shopping and restaurants. One bedroom,
two bedroom and four bedroom style apartments are available.
The apartments will be furnished but students must supply their own
dishes, linens, etc. The rent includes utilities, telephone
and internet access. Please access the new housing website at

an application, rates and apartment layout. The housing Application Fee is $25.00
and the deposit is $200. Click here for information about

IU South
Bend does not provide housing for married students or couples.
The deposit
for the apartment will be returned at the end of your stay in
University housing, if the apartment is left in a clean condition.
Security deposits will not be refunded to students who leave their
apartment in poor condition.
