Admission Requirements

  • At least a 2.3 cumulative secondary school grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale, or a score of at least 520 on the General Educational Development (GED) test.
  • Rank in upper half of secondary school class.
  • Graduation from a U.S. or Canadian secondary school or comparable non-U.S.-style school.
  • In general, we recommend that students complete college-preparatory course work that includes:
    • Eight semesters of English or the language of instruction
    • Six to eight semesters of mathematics.
    • Six semesters of social science (economics, government, history, psychology, or sociology)
    • Eight semesters of foreign language, fine arts, computer science, or technical skills.
    • Two semesters of health, physical education, or safety.
  • The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) (if you completed secondary school more than one year ago, the SAT requirement is waived. ***Please note, SAT score may be submitted during the first semester of study).
  • *** Music Applicants - An audition is required. Overseas applicants may submit a CD or DVD with their application information. (click here for information about what needs to be included in the audition CD or DVD). ***
