First step whether you are new or a transfer student is to:
- Apply to IU South Bend Admissions Office and be accepted.
- Have your high school and/or college transcripts sent to admissions.
- You will be required to take a placement test.
- Please call the next day after taking your placement exam(s) to set up your registration appointment with an advisor at 574.520.4504 or 574.520.5570
- Your advisor will help you with class registration and other information.
- Attend an IU South Bend campus Orientation.
- Your next step after being accepted to IU South Bend is to apply to the Radiography Program.
Admission Requirements for Clinical/Profession Program
Admission into the Clincal/Professional Program is moderately competitive. Students must complete the general education course work with a C (2.0) or better an dmeet other Academic and Technical Standards. The minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) rquired is 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Minimum Application Grade Point Average Needed: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Minimum CGPA Needed: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Interview: Yes**
Program Capacity: Maximum of 21 students (dependent upon number of clinical sites available)

The Division of Nursing and Health Professions provides new students with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with academic policy and success strategies. Orientation helps to insure a smooth transition into college life at IU South Bend and towards your chosen path in the health professions.
Attendance at Orientation is mandatory. Students who do not attend orientation will risk the chance of being administratively withdrawn from any classes.
