The CLAS Advising Center
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) Advising Center serves students who enter IU South Bend undecided about their academic focus, or subsequently change their major to undecided. Students with a declared major are advised in their academic units.

We are committed to assist students in navigating the university system and to help students understand the purposes, challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities of earning a university degree. Academic advisors can help and encourage as students make the transition from high school to university, explore a variety of majors, plan their time to meet the competing demands of family, job, and academic study, take responsibility for their decisions, make progress toward academic goals, and relate their studies to career choices.
