Specific quantitative measures include the EPS psychology test (comparing our student scores to national norms) and faculty ratings of student poster sessions in their advanced lab courses

See attachments our departmental web sight is also routinely updated with student and faculty accomplishments and is available for your review.
What analysis has been done with this data? What conclusions has your department drawn? Our overall student performance is within the average range for students nationwide. We are encouraged by an increased use of the P295 professional practice internship and a trend toward more graduate school acceptances and applications than in 04 and 05.
What changes have been made to the program as a result? (Curriculum, classes offered, classes discontinued, scheduling, advising, faculty education etc. . .) Increased emphasis on internships in the community, new opportunity for undergraduate research on an externally funded research program (Dr. Ladd), increased emphasis on faculty student research collaboration. Additional changes can be found in the relevant attachments.
How did assessment data and analysis support these changes? Feed back form psych club, psychi, student groups involved with our outside review and trends in student enrollment were all utilized to make informed changes and adjustments.
What changes does the department plan to make in the coming years to the program and to assessment techniques, and why? None planned
How were faculty, students, administration, alumni and other groups involved in assessment? Faculty meetings, Psych Club Meetings, Psy Chi meetings, student’s representation on interviewing for replacement position
How were assessment data and results shared with faculty, students, administration and alumni? See attached reports and we also routinely review this information in our faculty meetings.
In one paragraph, please summarize the most important impacts of the assessment of student learning on the program. It keeps us updated on changes in student interests and needs and makes us review our efforts in the context of our goals and objectives and it gives students a voice.
Is there any other information that you would like included in this report? We have included our 5-year outside reviewer process and reports to enhance your knowledge of our overall assessments and change process.
