1. Learning Goals
a. Apply information technology (IT) theory to chosen work environment
(cognate).
b. Understand the social and ethical impact of IT.
c. Choose appropriate algorithms and write programs or use available software
to solve organizational problems.
d. Oversee the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of
computer systems (hardware and software).
2. Measures
-Capstone course project
All students are required to do a six (6) credit capstone sequence which
requires them to design and implement a software system.

- Student course evaluations
Student evaluations are administered in all informatics classes. They
measure the students' perceptions of the course content and the instructor's
ability to present the material.

- Exit interview
Given to all informatics majors just prior to graduation. In the future,
these also might be given to students with a minor in informatics

- Alumni survey
Given to graduates three (?) years after they receive their diplomas.

3. How we use the assessment information
- Annual program meeting
i. Discuss revisions designed and suggested during the last academic year.
ii. Prioritize committee assignments for the coming year.
