IU South Bend Assessment Grants -Guidelines and Application FormGrant RecipientsThe Assessment Committee would like to congratulate recipients of Summer and Fall 2008 assessment grants. One recently awarded grant will evaluate the effectiveness of two core courses being offered online by the Counseling and Human Services program. Another grant, awarded to the Criminal Justice department, is for a pilot of the Major Field Test in Criminal Justice for graduating students. If the pilot testing shows the value of the test, it will become the primary assessment tool for the department. Douglas Agbetsiafa received a grant to pilot the TUCE standardized test in the principles of economics classes. The Assessment Committee is currently accepting grant applications. Proposals will be considered in a timely manner, successful applicants will be notified, and funds will become available as soon as the Committee’s decision is made. Applications must be submitted electronically. Guidelines and application forms are available. Please contact rculbert@iusb.edu if you have any questions. Purpose: The IU South Bend Assessment Committee offers assessment grants in order to promote the development of effective assessment strategies, activities and analysis. Assessment grants provide academic departments with some of the financial support necessary to implement the assessment of student learning, analyze the results of assessment activities and implement program changes as the result of these activities. They are also available to encourage departments/divisions which do not have an assessment plan, or have an outdated assessment plan, to research and establish a plan. All IU South Bend faculty, including associates are eligible. Guidelines and applications for submitting proposals electronically are online. Please contact Rhonda Culbertson, rculbert@iusb.edu, with any questions. Assessment Grant Final Report FormatAssessment Grant Final ReportsGeneral Studies - Alumni Survey |
