Career Fair Sponsorship

The Career Services Office hosts both a fall and spring career/job fair. The fall fair is held the the IU South Bend Elkhart Center Campus, while the spring fair is in it's 25th year and is held in the Student Activities Center on the South Bend campus.

Career and Internship Fair Workshops

Each spring, the Career Services Office hosts three workshops to prepare students for the career fair. Workshop titles are:

  • Interviewing Skills
  • Marketing Yourself
  • Resume Writing

Job and Internship Search Strategies Handbook Advertising

Ads range from $50 to $700 and are placed annually in our updated handbook. These books are in color and distributed to students, alumni and community members searching for jobs and internships. Estimated distribution is 2,000-3,000.

Internship Stipends

Per semester / per student stipend tend to be somewhere between $2,000 and $3,000 depending on hours worked and hourly wage.

Speaker Series

Each year the Career Services Office hosts a speaker from the South Bend Community to enhance the overall college experience and provide a sharing of ideas for the community and its leaders. Sponsorships costs vary.

Former speakers include:

  • Pat McMahon - Executive Director of Project Future and spoke on the economic impact of nanotechnology in the Michiana area
  • Dr. Jerry Pattengale - a nationally known presenter on student success and the “sophomore slump”
  • Former Governor Joseph Kernan
  • South Bend Mayor Stephen Luecke
