Choosing a Major (1 credit)

Practical course that guides students through the process of career and education planning. Students will take career assessments and learn their applicability to choosing a major and career. Additionally, decision-making skills will be taught to enhance goal achievement and personal motivation.
Offered in fall and spring semesters only.

Business Career Planning and Placement (1 credit)

Assists students in obtaining positions consistent with career goals. Career planning, organized employment campaign, job application methods, interview, initial conduct on job. Includes addresses by prominent business persons. Also open to juniors and seniors of other schools.

Job Search Strategies for Liberal Arts Students
(1 credit)

Emphasis on identifying each individual's marketable skills, locating job possibilities, writing resumes and correspondence, and interviewing for jobs. Stresses the value of the arts and sciences degree in competitive labor market.
Offered in the spring semester only.

Career Development (3 credits)

Career planning and placement strategies, assessment of labor market information, market surveys, and development of customized portfolios. Emphasis given to projects, papers, and independent research. Open registration. No prerequisites required.
