1. *Encourage and support excellence in learning through the refinement of traditional teaching methods and the use of new strategies of learning.
2. Support the improvement of teaching, research, service, and creative work.
3. Articulate the mission of each school and campus.
4. Support programs that have demonstrated a high quality of achievement, or are central to the mission of the campus.
