The IUSB Mission Statement sets forth the campus goals, and identifies a set of priorities to govern campus decisions in order to meet those goals. In 2001, the Campus Directions Committee created six strategic planning Task Forces to focus on IUSB’s six major priorities. The list of Task Force members and other Task Force documents can be found on the individual Task Force pages (see list below).

In 2002, those six Task Forces were asked to define the central concerns, set the boundaries for further inquiry and discussion, and provide a general assessment of IUSB’s current progress in the area. Individual Task Force reports and other related documents of the six task forces, can also be found on the individual Task Force pages listed below:

PRIORITIES FOR COLLEGIAL ATTAINMENT
Fostering Student Learning, Access, and Success
Encourage and Maintaining Academic Excellence

PRIORITIES FOR COMMUNITY INTERACTION
Strengthen Community Partnerships
Heighten the Recognition of IUSB's Resources and Achievements In and Beyond the Campuson and beyond the Campus

PRIORITIES FOR SOCIETAL ENGAGEMENT
Enhance Diversity in the Curriculum, Classroom, and Campus
Reflect and Expand a Global Perspective

The task forces will hold hearings and seek input from the community using a variety of methods.  For now, we seek input using two primary approaches:

email
web-based discussion

We offer the web-based discussion area to encourage input and conversation about this very important subject.  If you prefer not to share your thoughts with others outside the Committee, please consider sending an email to one or more of the Committee's membership.  Such emails will be handled as confidential information.

If you have questions or comments about this web site, please contact our technical editor.
