Minutes of November 21, 2003 Meeting

*Nominations for Secretary and Treasurer Positions in the Spring should be in by Friday to Brian or Jon. Election will be on the Installation.

Committee Reports:

 Activity -

*Installation ceremony will be on Dec. 6, 2003, 7 p.m. at the Alumni Room (Admin building). There will be invitations to send out. The Chicago people are sending info.

Suggestion: Christmas or New Year’s Party. Nothing definite yet.

Community Service -  

*Food drive ended.

* Habitat needs a lot of help for Raphael Hendrix’s house in Bremen. People are campaigning to get people to participate in any Saturday they are available.

* Take Ten will be on hold until next semester.

* Project MARK: set up time

*Hope Rescue Mission was brought up- food for the homeless Sun, Nov. 23, 11:30 a.m.

 Fundraising -

            *Phone-A-Thon: 5-6 p.m. weekdays. List is already made up. It is required to make at least 5 calls for anyone who wants to go to Vegas/Sacramento.

            *Concession Stand: CJA got $300!!!!

            *Calendar: Already have some pix. Needs specific dates of CJ “turning points.” Alex Bishop will layout.

            *Cookbook: Recipes were supposed to be due the Nov. 17 but still can turn in until the 24^th. CJA people need to submit recipes if they got applications.

            *Martin’s Coupon Books: Needs to turn in money by Wed, Dec. 3.

            *Candy: almost finished (the day of the meeting). We are looking at a profit of about $500.

            *Borders: Dec. 15, 4-10 p.m.-there is a sign in sheet

            *Barnes and Noble

 Newsletter: Still waiting for people

 Other -

 *E-mail problems: some were not receiving the e-mails.

*Copies: If you make copies using CJA account, please limit # of copies.

*Inactive members: There are about 8 people that might be removed from the list. The members examined the list and marked the people they will try to contact. Brian will definitely send letters to 3-4 people.
