Reading, Mathematics and English
Most students are required to take
the
reading
placement exam. However, you are waived from taking this if:
- You took the SAT exam within the last two years and your
score on the critical reading section is 480 or higher.
- You are a transfer student with 26 or more credit hours.
The mathematics exam is required of all
first-time students. Transfer students may be waived from the
mathematics exam if they have taken a math course equivalent to an
IU South Bend 100-level mathematics course at another college.
The
English exam is not required for all
students. Click here to determine if you
need to take this exam.

completed prior to attending
