Exams are offered throughout the year at both the IU South Bend campus and at the
Elkhart Center. Placement exams
are occasionally offered at
Plymouth High School.
The placement exams feature computerized
math and English exams (the
reading exam is done with paper and pencil).
The advantages of the computerized exam are as follows:
- A computerized math exam where you point and click to answer questions as opposed to filling in bubbles on a scantron
sheet
- Instant results on the math exam
- The option to type or handwrite the English exam
essay
- The ability to begin the English exam immediately upon completion of the math exam (see * note below)
For all dates and times, space is limited and
reservations are required.
If you require special accommodations to take the exams (such as extended time), you must first contact the
Office of Disability Support
Services at
(574) 520-4832 prior to taking the exams.
There is no charge to take the exams. Bring #2 pencils, a ball-point pen, a calculator, and photo identification.
If you know your 10-digit student ID number, please bring that also. Arrive ten minutes early. Late arrivals
are not seated.
