ENGLISH PREPARATION WORKSHOPS
Before the English exam, you may find it helpful to review writing strategies and idea development techniques you may have forgotten since your last English class. The workshops will help you refresh your skills in:
- Responding to a text and having enough to say
- Focusing on one main idea
- Using examples to develop your ideas
- Varying your sentence length to keep your reader interested
MATH PREPARATION WORKSHOPS
Before the math exam, you may want to attend a preparation
workshop to brush up on some of the math concepts you may have forgotten. The workshops are not designed as a last-minute study tool. Students should attend a workshop several days in advance of taking the
math placement exam. This allows students to devote time to studying the information that is provided at the workshop and be better prepared to take the exam.
