If you need help paying for college—whether tuition, fees, books, or living expenses—financial aid is available to qualified students from federal, state, institutional, and private sources. We consider scholastic ability, financial need, or a combination of both in awarding IU South Bend financial aid.

Calculating Need
The financial information in your application is analyzed to determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Factors determining the EFC include annual income, assets, family size, and other family members attending college.
