JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Peer Mentor/Student Services [10 positions]
EMPLOYMENT DATES: August 24, 2009 – May 08, 2010
PAY: $7.25/hr
DUTIES:Serve as a mentor to a group of underrepresented, incoming freshman through bi-weekly sessions featuring academic skills and relationship building activities. Assist mentees in learning to navigate information technology systems (OneStart, OnCourse, etc.), introduce and encourage them to utilize school resources (writing/learning centers, career services, etc.), and perform relationship building activities to foster community and encourage mentees to participation in campus events/student life.
