Fundamental Skills
Students must complete one course with a grade of C (2.0) or higher from each of the following six areas. Courses meeting fundamental skills may also be used to fulfill distribution requirements.
Writing I
ENG-W 131 Elementary Composition or
ENG-W 140 Honors Elementary Composition
Writing II
Approved course or course designated as "LAS Second Level Writing" in the Schedule of Classes
Oral Communication
SPCH-S121 Public Speaking Recommended or other approved course option
Quantitative Reasoning
MATH-M 111 Mathematics in the World Recommended or other approved course option
Computer Literacy
CSCI-A 106 Introduction to Computing Recommended or other approved course option
Diversity in U.S. Society
