Welcome to the Center for Global Education. Established in 1998 under the direction of Dr. John E. McEneaney, the center is currently under the direction of Dr. Kwadwo A. Okrah (meet him below!). There are portions of the site you will find "under construction". Our offerings are ever expanding! We hope you enjoy your visit to the site. You will find many resources for both students and teachers related to the exploration and understanding of cultures throughout the world.

Meet the Director

Kwadwo A. Okrah, Ph.D. has been the director of the Center for Global Education since 2000. He is the former linguist for Ghana. Besides acting as the center's director, Dr. Okrah teaches a number of courses on the IUSB campus. He is also available for presentations on topics related to The Center for Global Education, multiculturalism, and his home country of Ghana.

I'm delighted you have chosen to visit our website. I believe that as the world becomes more compressed, educators have a responsibility to provide educational opportunities that raise their students consciousness of the world as a whole. Cognitive skills as well as an understanding of the globalization process and its' impact on their lives is critical.
